Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Montemayor, Cordoba (Village and Mules) by John Copnall. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,687.07). Admittedly, works by John Copnall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abstract Forms On White No.1 in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,426.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Montemayor, Cordoba (Village and Mules) von John Copnall zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.687,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Copnall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abstract Forms On White No.1 im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.426,74).
