Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract: Purple (Vertical) (unframed) by John Copnall was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 828.75 (€ 989.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Copnall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract Forms On White No.1 in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,426.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abstract: Purple (Vertical) (unframed) von John Copnall kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 828,75 (€ 989,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Copnall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract Forms On White No.1 im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.426,74).
