This artwork by John Charles Dollman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2009. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Abandoned: vultures in the desert sold for GBP 937.50 (€ 1,055.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Charles Dollman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lord Rosebery, Admiral Fleming, The Duke Of Buccleuch And Lord Charles Hope With Their Respective Caddies At North Berwick in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 205,250.00 (€ 254,516.16).
