Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'As it happeneth to the fool' by Byam Shaw was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,154.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Byam Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Queen of Hearts in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 790,500.00 (€ 883,058.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'As it happeneth to the fool' von Byam Shaw kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.154,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Byam Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Queen of Hearts im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 790.500,00 (€ 883.058,95).
