In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, British and Impressionist Art, which included the work 'Oh It Was Summer Whilst I Slept, 'Tis Winter When I Waken.' by Byam Shaw. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,317.67), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Byam Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Queen of Hearts in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 790,500.00 (€ 883,058.95).

Im November 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, British and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Oh It Was Summer Whilst I Slept, 'Tis Winter When I Waken.' von Byam Shaw zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.317,67) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Byam Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Queen of Hearts im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 790.500,00 (€ 883.058,95).
