Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in Sidney held the auction Sherman | Prints & Multiples, which included the work Nude in Profile, 1978 by John Brack. The price achieved of AUD 2,091.00 (€ 1,997.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Brack achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian The Old Time in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 3,360,000.00 (€ 2,066,001.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Sidney die Auktion Sherman | Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude in Profile, 1978 von John Brack zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 2.091,00 (€ 1.997,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Brack erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian The Old Time im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 3.360.000,00 (€ 2.066.001,64).
