Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A View Of The Tower, Taken Upon The Thames by John Boydell was sold in the East & West: A Private Collection from Eaton Square & Anouska Hempel auction at Christies in London in May 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 312.50 (€ 365.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Boydell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work William Penn's Treaty with the Indians, When He Founded the Province of Pennsylvania in North America 1681 (Fowble 130) in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 4,025.00 (€ 4,125.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A View Of The Tower, Taken Upon The Thames von John Boydell wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion East & West: A Private Collection from Eaton Square & Anouska Hempel bei Christies in London versteigert.
