It achieved a price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,752.87), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Boultbee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mambrino, a grey stallion in a wooded landscape, which sold at auction in May 2003 for GBP 11,950.00 (€ 16,649.36).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.752,87) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von John Boultbee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mambrino, a grey stallion in a wooded landscape beobachtet, die im Mai 2003 für GBP 11.950,00 (€ 16.649,36) versteigert wurde.
