The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,395.28), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Arnold Wheeler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mahogany Painted Canvas Four-Panel Screen in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 42,300.00 (€ 49,917.39).
