This work of art by John Arnold Wheeler could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Raglan Collection: Wellington, Waterloo and The Crimea And Works of Art from the Collection of the Marquesses of Londonderry auction, the work Miss Mary, a chestnut hunter at Badminton changed hands for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,843.55) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Arnold Wheeler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Mahogany Painted Canvas Four-Panel Screen in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 42,300.00 (€ 49,917.39).
