Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2000 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included this untitled work by Tony Tuckson. The price achieved of AUD 3,525.00 (€ 2,133.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Tuckson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Red, Black And White) in March 2006 with an auction result of AUD 89,625.00 (€ 52,900.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tony Tuckson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.525,00 (€ 2.133,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony Tuckson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Red, Black And White) im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 89.625,00 (€ 52.900,83).
