This artwork by Johannes Schouten achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2018. In the Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 auction, the work Figures on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, Amsterdam, the Koninlijk Paleis to the left, the old post office to the right sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,063.74) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Schouten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view of the Singel with the Munttoren, Amsterdam, which sold at auction in July 2018 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,306.86).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Johannes Schouten erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 wurde die Arbeit Figures on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, Amsterdam, the Koninlijk Paleis to the left, the old post office to the right für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.063,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Schouten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A view of the Singel with the Munttoren, Amsterdam beobachtet, die im Juli 2018 für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.306,86) versteigert wurde.
