Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 5,019.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Reekers II - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A partridge, a plover, fruit and flowers, which sold at auction in October 2009 for EUR 13,750.00.
