Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work The Potato Harvest by Jan Mari ten Kate. The price achieved of EUR 2,280.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Mari ten Kate have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Departure Of The Fishing Fleet, Volendam in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 10,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Potato Harvest von Jan Mari ten Kate zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.280,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Mari ten Kate auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Departure Of The Fishing Fleet, Volendam im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.800,00.
