Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von NLG 2.106,36 (€ 970,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Karel Leurs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Watering cows by a forest beobachtet, die im September 2007 für EUR 2.375,00 versteigert wurde.
