The work Ducks on the waterside by Johannes Karel Leurs was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,015.75 27% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Karel Leurs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Watering cows by a forest, which sold at auction in September 2007 for EUR 2,375.00.

Die Arbeit Ducks on the waterside von Johannes Karel Leurs wurde im Februar 2004 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.015,75 und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Karel Leurs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Watering cows by a forest beobachtet, die im September 2007 für EUR 2.375,00 versteigert wurde.
