Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Along A River by Johannes Karel Leurs for EUR 720.00. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Karel Leurs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Watering cows by a forest, which sold at auction in September 2007 for EUR 2,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Along A River von Johannes Karel Leurs für EUR 720,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Karel Leurs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Watering cows by a forest beobachtet, die im September 2007 für EUR 2.375,00 versteigert wurde.
