Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm held the auction Northern Light - the Artists' Colony at Skagen, which included the work Coastal scenery presumably from Skagen by Johannes Grenness. It changed hands for a price of DKK 9,500.00 (€ 1,272.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Grenness - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life with fruit and flowers, which sold at auction in January 2024 for DKK 3,000.00 (€ 2,621.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm die Auktion Northern Light - the Artists' Colony at Skagen durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coastal scenery presumably from Skagen von Johannes Grenness zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von DKK 9.500,00 (€ 1.272,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Grenness mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life with fruit and flowers beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für DKK 3.000,00 (€ 2.621,92) versteigert wurde.
