Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Daily activities in a sunlit street by Johannes Franciscus Spohler was sold in the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2011. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Franciscus Spohler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A busy town in winter; and Gentlemen by an Amsterdam canal in summer in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 62,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Daily activities in a sunlit street von Johannes Franciscus Spohler wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Franciscus Spohler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A busy town in winter; and Gentlemen by an Amsterdam canal in summer im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 62.400,00.
