This artwork by Johannes Franciscus Spohler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2011. In the Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries auction, the work Activities on a canal in a Dutch town sold for EUR 12,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Franciscus Spohler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A busy town in winter; and Gentlemen by an Amsterdam canal in summer in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 62,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johannes Franciscus Spohler erzielte im März 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries wurde die Arbeit Activities on a canal in a Dutch town für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Franciscus Spohler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A busy town in winter; and Gentlemen by an Amsterdam canal in summer im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 62.400,00.
