Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Coastal scene with two boys skipping stones by Johannes Boesen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,000.00 (€ 134.12). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Boesen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Faggot Gatherer on a Country Lane in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 19,120.00 (€ 15,000.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Coastal scene with two boys skipping stones von Johannes Boesen im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.000,00 (€ 134,12) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Boesen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Faggot Gatherer on a Country Lane im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 15.000,78).
