Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work A view from the bank of a stream by Johannes Boesen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in January 2024, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,500.00 (€ 2,184.93). Admittedly, works by Johannes Boesen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Faggot Gatherer on a Country Lane in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 19,120.00 (€ 15,000.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit A view from the bank of a stream von Johannes Boesen im Januar 2024 bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.500,00 (€ 2.184,93) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Boesen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Faggot Gatherer on a Country Lane im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 15.000,78).
