The work Stellaeburgum Sive Observatorium Subterranean: Three Plates by Joan Blaeu was worth USD 2,400.00 (€ 1,809.82) to a buyer in November 2006. This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 600.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Joan Blaeu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work From: Atlas Maior (9). in December 2013 with an auction result of SEK 70,000.00 (€ 7,904.78).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 600,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Blaeu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit From: Atlas Maior (9). im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 70.000,00 (€ 7.904,78).
