Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bruun Rasmussen held the auction Paintings, furniture and varia, which included the work “Iutia, olim Cimbrica Chersonesus” by Joan Blaeu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of DKK 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of DKK 1,550.00 (€ 208.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Blaeu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From: Atlas Maior (9). in December 2013 with an auction result of SEK 70,000.00 (€ 7,904.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bruun Rasmussen die Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia durch, in der auch die Arbeit “Iutia, olim Cimbrica Chersonesus” von Joan Blaeu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von DKK 1.550,00 (€ 208,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Blaeu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit From: Atlas Maior (9). im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 70.000,00 (€ 7.904,78).
