This artwork by Jan Kupetzki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2009. In the European Noble and Private Collections auction, the work A portrait of a man, standing half-length, possibly the artist himself, wearing a fur-trimmed blue coat and holding a sabel and pipe sold for EUR 33,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Kupetzki; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of Susanna Klaus, The Wife of The Artist, Half-Length, In A White Dess And Brown Shawl, Holding A Book In Her Right Hand sold at auction in November 2006 with the realized price of EUR 57,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Kupetzki erzielte im Dezember 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European Noble and Private Collections wurde die Arbeit A portrait of a man, standing half-length, possibly the artist himself, wearing a fur-trimmed blue coat and holding a sabel and pipe für EUR 33.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jan Kupetzki; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Portrait of Susanna Klaus, The Wife of The Artist, Half-Length, In A White Dess And Brown Shawl, Holding A Book In Her Right Hand im November 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 57.600,00.
