This artwork by Jan Kupetzki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2011. In the Old Masters and British Paintings auction, the work Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, holding a flute sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,935.13) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Kupetzki; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of Susanna Klaus, The Wife of The Artist, Half-Length, In A White Dess And Brown Shawl, Holding A Book In Her Right Hand sold at auction in November 2006 with the realized price of EUR 57,600.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Kupetzki erzielte im Dezember 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
