Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,019.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Jungblut - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A winter landscape at dusk with figures fishing on the ice, which sold at auction in October 2000 for NLG 40,957.00 (€ 19,658.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Walking home on a winters day at dusk von Johann Jungblut kam im Juli 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.019,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Johann Jungblut mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A winter landscape at dusk with figures fishing on the ice beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für NLG 40.957,00 (€ 19.658,01) versteigert wurde.
