Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch peasants on a frozen waterway at sundown by Johann Jungblut was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,024.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Johann Jungblut have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winter landscape at dusk with figures fishing on the ice in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 40,957.00 (€ 19,658.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dutch peasants on a frozen waterway at sundown von Johann Jungblut kam im Mai 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.024,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johann Jungblut auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A winter landscape at dusk with figures fishing on the ice im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 40.957,00 (€ 19.658,01).
