Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX, which included the work Peasants on a frozen waterway in winter by Johann Jungblut. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 7,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,225.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Jungblut - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A winter landscape at dusk with figures fishing on the ice, which sold at auction in October 2000 for NLG 40,957.00 (€ 19,658.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peasants on a frozen waterway in winter von Johann Jungblut zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 7.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.225,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Johann Jungblut mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A winter landscape at dusk with figures fishing on the ice beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für NLG 40.957,00 (€ 19.658,01) versteigert wurde.
