Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Johann Heinrich Roos could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Drawings - CSK auction, the work A Dog Lying Down, With A Partial Subsidiary Study Of His Forequarters In The Opposite Direction changed hands for GBP 940.00 (€ 1,530.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Heinrich Roos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Huntsman Firing A Pistol In A Rocky Landscape in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 42,000.00 (€ 32,312.66).
In der Auktion Old Master Drawings - CSK wechselte die Arbeit A Dog Lying Down, With A Partial Subsidiary Study Of His Forequarters In The Opposite Direction für GBP 940,00 (€ 1.530,72) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00.
