The result of EUR 5,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johann Heinrich Roos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Huntsman Firing A Pistol In A Rocky Landscape in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 42,000.00 (€ 32,312.66).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit A horse, donkey, goats, dog and sleeping shepherd in front of a ruin von Johann Heinrich Roos wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 5.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johann Heinrich Roos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Huntsman Firing A Pistol In A Rocky Landscape im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 42.000,00 (€ 32.312,66).
