Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work An amorous couple eating and drinking with musicians in an interior; and An elegant young woman and girl with musicians by a column, a landscape beyond by Johann Georg Platzer. The price achieved of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 20,900.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Georg Platzer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegory of the Five Senses in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 276,000.00 (€ 404,099.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit An amorous couple eating and drinking with musicians in an interior; and An elegant young woman and girl with musicians by a column, a landscape beyond von Johann Georg Platzer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 20.900,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Georg Platzer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allegory of the Five Senses im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 276.000,00 (€ 404.099,56).
