Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Equestrian Portrait Of A Nobleman by Johann Elias Ridinger was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings auction at Sothebys in London in July 2014. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,094.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Elias Ridinger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sixteen Scenes Of The Breaking And Schooling Of Horses in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 73,646.22).
