A top price for Johann Elias Ridinger - as previously expected
In July 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work Sixteen Scenes Of The Breaking And Schooling Of Horses by Johann Elias Ridinger. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 73,646.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sixteen Scenes Of The Breaking And Schooling Of Horses is the most expensive artwork by Johann Elias Ridinger that we have observed at auctions so far.
