Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trinity Church at the Head of Wall Street and Little Church around the Corner: A Pair of Works by Johann Berthelsen was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,645.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Berthelsen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flatiron Building, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 28,800.00 (€ 21,534.32).

Die Arbeit Trinity Church at the Head of Wall Street and Little Church around the Corner: A Pair of Works von Johann Berthelsen kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.645,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Johann Berthelsen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flatiron Building beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 28.800,00 (€ 21.534,32) versteigert wurde.
