Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,035.36). Admittedly, works by Johann Berthelsen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flatiron Building in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 28,800.00 (€ 21,534.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Central Park At Night von Johann Berthelsen wurde im Juni 2013 in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.035,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johann Berthelsen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flatiron Building im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.800,00 (€ 21.534,32).
