This artwork by Johann Baptist Lampi I achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2019. In the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work Portrait Of A Lady, Half-Length, Traditionally Identified As Baroness Aleksinova sold for USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,482.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Baptist Lampi I - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Count Franz Peter Friedrich von Diesbach (1739-1811), half-length, which sold at auction in April 2017 for USD 271,500.00 (€ 249,196.88).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Johann Baptist Lampi I erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Half-Length, Traditionally Identified As Baroness Aleksinova für USD 87.500,00 (€ 78.482,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johann Baptist Lampi I mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Count Franz Peter Friedrich von Diesbach (1739-1811), half-length beobachtet, die im April 2017 für USD 271.500,00 (€ 249.196,88) versteigert wurde.
