Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Johann Amandus Winck could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings Part II auction, the work Still life with ripening fruits on a stone ledge changed hands for USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,710.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Amandus Winck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trompe l'oeils: Garlands of flowers hanging from ribbons on nails over feigned sculpted cartouches, above ledges with fruit, a squirrel and a monkey in May 2001 with an auction result of NLG 279,000.00 (€ 134,401.77).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trompe l'oeils: Garlands of flowers hanging from ribbons on nails over feigned sculpted cartouches, above ledges with fruit, a squirrel and a monkey im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 279.000,00 (€ 134.401,77).
