The work Danish boy With Curly Hair by Johan Vilhelm Gertner was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2017. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,405.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Danish boy With Curly Hair is the most expensive artwork by Johan Vilhelm Gertner that we have observed at auctions so far.
