Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Acrobats on a terrace by Johan Van Hell was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2000. Here, the upper estimate of NLG 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for NLG 76,063.00 (€ 35,634.30). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johan Van Hell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rassen (Ober bedient twee nouveau-riche figuren), which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 91,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Acrobats on a terrace von Johan Van Hell kam im November 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von NLG 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für NLG 76.063,00 (€ 35.634,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Johan Van Hell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rassen (Ober bedient twee nouveau-riche figuren) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 91.500,00 versteigert wurde.
