Auction result well in line with expectations
The work River landscape with fishermen in a boat by Johan Pietersz. Schoeff was sold in the Quality in Detail. The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection auction at Sothebys in London in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,881.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johan Pietersz. Schoeff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An extensive wooded landscape with figures, which sold at auction in November 2008 for EUR 29,800.00.

The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.881,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
