Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bloeiende heide met berken, Blaricum by Johan Meijer was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2005. The price achieved of EUR 1,020.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Meijer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch Winter Landscape in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 10,450.00.
