Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A polderlandscape at dawn by Johan Meijer was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 370.00 – 540.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 293.75. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Meijer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch Winter Landscape in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 10,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A polderlandscape at dawn von Johan Meijer im September 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 370,00 – 540,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 293,75 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johan Meijer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch Winter Landscape im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.450,00.
