A top price for Johan Hendrik Boshamer - as previously expected
In April 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century Paintings, which included the work Dutch Sailing Vessels Off The Coast by Johan Hendrik Boshamer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 20,650.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dutch Sailing Vessels Off The Coast is the most expensive artwork by Johan Hendrik Boshamer that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch Sailing Vessels Off The Coast von Johan Hendrik Boshamer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 20.650,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Dutch Sailing Vessels Off The Coast das teuerste Kunstwerk von Johan Hendrik Boshamer, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
