In October 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Art, which included the work Sailing vessels in choppy seas by Johan Hendrik Boshamer. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,375.00 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johan Hendrik Boshamer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch Sailing Vessels Off The Coast, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 20,650.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sailing vessels in choppy seas von Johan Hendrik Boshamer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Johan Hendrik Boshamer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch Sailing Vessels Off The Coast beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 20.650,00 versteigert wurde.
