Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Calla Lily, 1925 by Johan Hagemeyer was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2017. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,585.16) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johan Hagemeyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prison, 1923, which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,681.04).
