Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Quatre Paysages: Pupetière, Blondin Et Le Château De Vallin À Saint Victor by Johan Barthold Jongkind was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,016.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Barthold Jongkind achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sailing on a sunny day in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 144,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Quatre Paysages: Pupetière, Blondin Et Le Château De Vallin À Saint Victor von Johan Barthold Jongkind kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.016,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johan Barthold Jongkind erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sailing on a sunny day im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 144.000,00.
