This artwork by Johan Barthold Jongkind achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in May last year. In the Maîtres Anciens - Dessins, Peintures, Sculptures auction, the work Quatre Paysages Du Dauphiné (Dont Deux Recto-Verso) sold for EUR 6,930.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Barthold Jongkind achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sailing on a sunny day in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 144,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johan Barthold Jongkind erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Maîtres Anciens - Dessins, Peintures, Sculptures wurde die Arbeit Quatre Paysages Du Dauphiné (Dont Deux Recto-Verso) für EUR 6.930,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johan Barthold Jongkind erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sailing on a sunny day im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 144.000,00.
