This price was achieved in the auction Collection Monsieur et Madame Robert Schmit, Part II at Sothebys in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Johan Barthold Jongkind have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sailing on a sunny day in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 144,000.00.

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Collection Monsieur et Madame Robert Schmit, Part II bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johan Barthold Jongkind auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sailing on a sunny day im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 144.000,00.
