Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Rustic Canyon, Santa Monica, California' by Joel Sternfeld was sold in the Made in CaliforniaPhotographs auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December this year. The price achieved of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,471.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joel Sternfeld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On This Site: Landscape In Memoriam, 1993-1996 in April 2004 with an auction result of USD 153,100.00 (€ 77,518.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Rustic Canyon, Santa Monica, California' von Joel Sternfeld wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaPhotographs bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.471,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
